Welcome to OneOffAdventures

OneOffAdventures is a website where it learns about the kinds of things that you are interested in, and then it will come up with a list of things that you would find interesting based on where you are.

For the website, it will need to learn about the physical location where your computer/device is located. That way it can make suggestions for points of interest near you.

For the mobile app, it will use the GPS system and automatically know your current location.

Before we can do this, we need to learn a little about you! And by the way, we aren't one of those websites that will relentlessly flood your email inbox with junk. You get to select how much you want to hear from us — or if you just want us to shut up!

Tell Us About Yourself

We ask this because the system needs to know what kinds of things you are interested in, and we would also like to email you the results of the searches you do here. Any time you receive an email from us, there will ALWAYS be a link in the email where you can tell us to SHUT UP (stop sending emails).


Would You Like Text Messages?

In some cases, it is handy to have a point of interest (POI) texted to you with a link to driving directions or the website of a business you selected. NOTHING will be texted unless you specifically ask for it.

(Texting surcharges may be charged by your cell phone company.)

Time to create your secret password! This is the magic word you’ll use to get back into the site later, so make it something you’ll remember—but not something your cat could guess. Choose wisely, oh wise world traveler.

After a long day of treasure hunting, sometimes you just want to find a great hole in the wall place to eat, right?

We would like to have your home location so we can suggest cool places close to home in the future. That’s it. No spying. No stalking. No sending pizza uninvited (sadly).

If giving your exact address just feels weird, just tell us your city, state, and ZIP code — we’ll still know where the great action is.
