OneOffAdventures Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 8/28/2025
(We try to keep things fresh ... but don't blame us if this page hasn't been updated since the day you left that bag of salad in the back of your fridge).
Welcome to OneOffAdventures!
We (that’s us, along with our developer M24) care about your privacy almost as much as we care about coffee.
This policy explains how we handle your information when you visit OneOffAdventures.com (the "Site").
By using the Site, you agree to the terms below. If you don’t agree—no hard feelings, but please don’t give us your info.
Our 10 Privacy Principles
(Like commandments, but with fewer stone tablets.)
- Accountability – We own up to how we use your info. Got questions? Email info@OneOffAdventures.com.
- Identifying Purposes – We’ll tell you why we need your info before we collect it.
- Consent – We’ll only use your info with your okay, unless the law says otherwise.
- Limiting Collection – We only ask for what we need. No nosy questions like “What’s your Netflix password?”
- Limiting Use, Disclosure & Retention – Your info won’t be used for anything shady.
- Accuracy – We try to keep your info up to date. If it’s wrong, let us know. We’re GOOD, but not PSYCHIC!
- Safeguarding – We do our best to protect your info.
- Openness – We’re transparent about what we do. Honest!
- Customer Access – You can access and change your info anytime. Even delete your account if you need a clean slate.
- Handling Complaints – Have a concern? Reach out!
What We Collect (and Why)
We collect just enough info to make your experience smooth. That might include your name, email, and password when you create an account. Optional extras (like a bio or personal description) are up to you. And no—we don’t want your credit card unless you actually buy something here, and even then, the credit card processor keeps it, not us.
Important Note: We don’t collect data from kids under 13. We love kids, but this site isn’t really made for them. (Also, they’re too young to appreciate dad jokes anyway.)
Cookies
Cookies aren’t just for dessert anymore. Our cookies store your OneOffAdventures preferences on your computer, and they keep you logged in. Cookies like these stick around for a while on your computer, and they are read by this site each time you come back. As opposed to these, "session cookies" disappear when you leave. If you need more information about our cookies and why they are necessary, please see our "Cookie Policy".
Anonymous Info
We also collect anonymous info like your internet address, what kind of browser you use, and times you've come to visit. This helps us improve the Site. Don’t worry — nothing personally identifiable is kept in these cases.
How We Use Your Info
- To register you as a member.
- To personalize your adventure.
- To send newsletters about bridges for sale in Arizona that you might be interested in (Just kidding! We might send a newsletter to you if you already said it was OK, but otherwise, we won't bug you.)
- To pre-fill forms so you don’t have to type “John Q. User” for the hundredth time
We absolutely positively will not sell your information. Unlike other sites that will take your information, hand it out like candy, and use it to spam you with weight-loss miracle ads ... you'll never get spam from anybody else on account of data that they would have got from us. (We hate that too!)
Sharing with Others
We don’t share your info ... unless:
- The law says we have to (sorry, no way around that).
- We need to protect the OneOffAdventures site, or our users.
- It’s part of some business deal like a merger.
- Third-party partners are providing services for us (like mailing or login systems). By the way ... in those cases, they would only get what they need, NOTHING MORE.
Security (a.k.a. the Digital Guard Dogs)
We use strong encryption, firewalls, and access controls to protect your data. Is it perfect? No system is unfortunately. But we’ve done everything short of hiring a dragon to guard our servers to keep your information safe.
Our staff is trained on privacy, and only authorized employees can peek at your info.
Your Rights
You can review, update, or delete your info at any time through your account settings. Deleted means deleted — we don’t keep “just in case” copies.

Other Legal Bits
Links to Other Sites
Sometimes we will present links to outside websites. Once you click on these and leave our site, you’re under THEIR privacy rules, not ours. (It’s like visiting a friend’s house — you have to play by THEIR rules.)
Governing Law
This policy follows the laws of Utah and the U.S. federal government. (Yup, the lawyers made us add this.)
Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make big changes, we’ll post a notice on the homepage or email you. Small changes? Just check back here.
Thanks for reading! We know privacy policies aren’t usually page-turners, but we hope this one made you smile while still keeping things clear.
